Aashiqui 3 is a Pakistani romance film directed by Mohit Suri and written by Mohit Suri and Rumi Jaffrey. The film stars Shraddha Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Ali Zafar. The story revolves around the young couple, Ayesha and Ali who gradually fall in love with each other despite opposition from their family and society. They manage to resist social pressures towards marriage until Ayesha's father dies from a heart attack while fighting against his daughter's wishes to marry her fiancé. The movie will release on June 20, 2013.Aashiqui 3 has been in the news for a number of controversies and there has been a lot of speculation regarding the film's release date. It was announced that shooting for this film ended in February 2012 and the film was scheduled to be released by September 2012; however various statements from producers and distributors hinted that it might not happen then. In March 2011, the director confirmed that he has completed work on the script but will only reveal details after getting Mohit's final approval. Later on, it was confirmed that the film will be directed by Mohit Suri and he had also dropped his other project after getting to direct this film.The Director's cut of the Music video of the title track of the movie was shown exclusively on Colors TV on January 27, 2013. The Music Video was sung by Mohit Suri himself. Actress Shraddha Kapoor also made her singing debut in this Music video, which she recorded for her character Ayesha. In the main lead, the film is being produced by Ali Abbas Zafar and stars Shraddha Kapoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. The male lead was initially supposed to be played by Ali Zafar's younger brother, Iqbal Khan but later on he dropped out from the project due to some personal reasons. After a lot of speculation, it was announced in May 2011 that actor Aditya Roy Kapur will be playing the male lead opposite Shraddha Kapoor in Aashiqui 3. The female lead role was reported to have been offered to actress Kainaat Arora whereas Shraddha Kapoor has been given the role of Ayesha Siddiqui. Another actress Zareen Khan was also seen as a candidate for the female lead at one point. Shraddha Kapoor was eventually reported to be playing the role of Ayesha Siddiqui, the role which Zareen Khan was earlier supposed to play. The music director duo of Murtuza Khan and Amaal Mallik also confirmed their association with the film although it wasn't specified in which capacity they were working on. It was announced in March 2011 that Aditya Roy Kapur will play Ayesha's love interest in this film. The film has been delayed because of Ali Zafar's commitments with "Kill Dill" and "Hate Story".
